Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker makes history
The Kansas City Chiefs are coming on strong this season, and the Broncos and Chargers may no longer be eligible to compete for the AFC West title. But their destination is the same: full of hope for the 2024 playoffs.
On Thursday night, the two teams faced off. The most impressive thing is that Cameron Dicker made history wearing a Los Angeles Chargers jerseys. He seized the opportunity and successfully kicked the ball from 57 yards before the end of the half, narrowing the gap between the Chargers and the Denver Broncos to 21-13. This was the first successful fair catch in the NFL since 1976, becoming the longest fair catch and kick in NFL history.
This is a little-known rule, but it was used reasonably by the Chargers quarterback wearing the No. 11 nfl jerseyin this game. The game finally ended 27-34. The Broncos were unable to maintain their pre-halftime lead and ultimately fell behind the Chargers in the standings. Currently, the Chargers and Broncos look pretty safe at No. 6 and No. 7 in the AFC, respectively.
